Hi, i just got a BARRACUDA alarm which me and my bro installed it, it works pretty good for thet price ($35 us dlls) and i was wondering how to install a LED scanner, that litlle thing with about 10 LEDs wich flashes while the alarm is activated, please i need an answer, hot to install it? directly to the wires of the normal LED?

What barracuda model do you have?

i really don´t know, i forgot the model, 'cuz i threw the box, i think its x33 or somethin, i remember a 33

but i'll investigate the model cuz one friend has the same, in 2 days ill tell ya the model

First, you need to find the "ground when armed" wire. This wire is usually connected to the starter kill relay, and on most alarms it is orange. But I'm not familiar with a barracuda. Read your installation manual to find the right wire. After you find this wire, you will need two 1 amp diodes. Take the sides with the band and twist them together and crimp a butt connector on them. Then connect two butt connecters to the other two exposed ends of the diodes you now have. Now cut your "ground when armed" wire and connect the side coming from the alarm brain to the twisted band side of the diodes. Connect one of the other ends to the starter kill relay. Then connect the your last one to the ground of your scanner. Then connect the +12v of you scanner to a constant power source. Arm your alarm, and see if this works. Hopefully it will, because thats EXACTLY how I wired up my scanner to my alarm.

tnkx, i'll search that wire, i got the model is BARRACUDA EX33, i didnt installed the starter kill relay, cuz i didnt know how to install it, i have a VW 1982 Rabbit, if u please tell me how 2 put the starter killer.
