Hello, ill be installing this into a friends car, and they have a siren they want me to add to it as well. so that it will go off when the system is armed, the doors are opened and fas a confirmation honk if possible. Is this possible to achieve? I dont see any outputs on the remote start brain that can do it. Can i maybe use a relay to convert the - horn output on the brain to a positve, then use that as a siren output?or the ground while armed output? Or would it be best just to purchase the DEI 516L module? If not, what would be the best way to achieve this? Thanks

Does that unit have a brown low current NEG output?
Then a mini relay to a siren.

Connecting the siren as stated above will only give chirps when locking, unlocking and panic.

is there anyway to add door/trunk/hood monitoring to that remote start ? or anyway to add security like features to it?

Not as it is. the only way to do it woud be remove it and replace it with an alarm/starter combo or you can add an alarm system that has an extra AUX output and connect it to the WHITE/ blue activation input.
