Hello, I meant the full install manual for the CM7000AS, or 7AS, or FT-7000AS-CONT

try this https://www.compustar.com/dealersupport/ you can download the one for the cm6000 it should be very similar. You should have the CM7000 wiring schematic in the box and the unit itself has the wire label on back. You can download a vehicle tech sheet free at www.bulldogsecurity.com or www.commandocaralarms.com or here as well.

If you have a newer vehicle a lot of the wiring is not needed with the Blade-AL cartridge www.idatalink.com and that will tell you which few wires you need.

Good Luck. Im just a newb DIYer

I have them both. They all have similar features functions and etc. ANYWAYS go here this is what you want. You can get your manual and firmware hopefully you have the idatalink ads-usb updater and an OP500. Programming sucks without the OP500. Good Luck! Hope this helps

ERR 1 means that the Compustar's last function was a "Lock" ( or the Compustar is locked ). Do a "Unlock", then unplug the antenna harness and plug-in the OP-500.

Strange, that's what it means on the older series units. Haven't played around with a FT7000 series yet.

Plug it in to the top of OP500 not the bottom.

Well if you were plugging it in the bottom, yes it will work. The bottom input is to update the programmer. There are two inputs on the top. One dedicated to a 4pin antenna male connector and the other for the 6 pin configuration.
