I am trying to wire a Viper 3203. I am having a hard time wiring the door ajar trigger wiring. I am working on a 2002 Pontiac Firebird. Door ajar function works properly when but when armed opening the door wont trigger alarm.

You have the wrong wire on the 3203, you need H1/8 GREEN.
You will also need to separate the door lock wires via a pair of 1N4004 diodes.
See diagram.firebird_door_switches.bmp

I thought that since the bcm was suppling a positive signal that I should tie into the H 1/6 wire. Thanks for the diagram. I will try that routing.

According to Directwire the grey/black at D11 and the BLACK/ white at D12 are NEG (-). 1970s Rolls Royce and some US Fords plus pre 98 BMW 5 Series trunk were POS all else NEG. Have you actually tested?

There is 12 volts on the wires till the door is open, then it goes to ground. Therefore it is a negative trigger wire.
