I have just purchased a saa998t security programmer to use with my viper 5704 remote start system. When I connected the two units, powered up the saa998t and tried to 'read', nothing happened. I got a message saying unit not compatible. Does anyone know if there are any compatibility issues between these two devices? I was led to believe the saa998t would work with the Viper 5704.

What chip is in it? Thats what makes it compatible with certain moelds. When you turn it on it should tell you. I believe you need chip 2.7 or higher for the 5704.

It says V1.5

Disappointing it did have latest chip when I bought it. Thanks for the reply blanx218
