Folks-

can anyone tell me anything about getting a replacement factory remote for a 97 BMW Z3 roadster?

A friend just bought one for his daughter, and wants a replacement unit. It came with one, he wants another.

Over here, dealer V form (Government proof of ownership -pink slip?).
Photo license and a utility bill, oh and loads of money.
While you're about it get a valet key (£35 here about $50), you'll need it for the eventual remote start you install.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
