I have been doing car stereos for a couple years now this is my first true car alarm with remote start( installed keyless entry once) trying to figure out how to wire remote start to relay correctly in a 94 ford explorer xlt correctly I have the astra 4000rs aftermarket alarm got everything wired but the anti grind wire violet starter wire ground when running out factory rearm and one other wire looking to see which wires to pull from and install to relay and where to put diode etc do not want to screw up car have a place to keep bills etc need car running any ideas?

I posted this back in 2011, it might help....
Why people are getting flat batteries;
I've seen this posted twice recently and people don't appear to be following the alarm manufacturer's instructions.
An external anti-grind/starter relay should be wired as follows:-
85 Only use the "ground when armed (GWA)" from the alarm.
86 Ignition 1 only*.
87a Key side of starter
30 Starter side of cut wire and starter output from R/S.
Diode 1N4004 across 85 and 86 with the band towards 86.
*If you join a constant 12V+ to 86 that relay will be on all the time and you will have a drained battery within a day.
