It's been many years since I've installed a remote start/ security and it shows with this install. I don't have a installer close to me for any help so I'm hoping somebody can help me. I bought a Prestige model APS-997C and a DBAll along with the xkloader and installed the latest firmware.
With that being said I've installed the siren
Hood pin
Antenna
Shock sensor
Now comes a part I'm stuck at the ignition I have the 6 pin all wired up but do I need batt 2 wired installed? And do I need to wire up a relay? If so how?
I have a lot more wires done and would like somebody that can help double check what I'm doing so I don't trash the ecm and I'll post more when I can get the ignition correct.

Yes to BAT 2. It goes go a +12V constant source. There are two +12V constant wires under the steering column, one

I am not an Avdiovox user, but if you power all the ignition wires ( IGN1, IGN2, ACC1, ACC2, Starter ) you will probably need
an extra relay.

Thanx Kreg357 It said in the paperwork to check the amp draw if over 24 amps then use the second batt2 wire. Ill print out the link you posted and maybe you can help me after that. It also mentions a starter inhibit relay. How do I know if I need to use this relay? There is also a 4 pin alt ign harness would this be for a diesel?

The Starter Inhibit Relay is optional. It prevents the the vehicle from being started with the key while the APS-997c is in
a Locked/Armed state. The wiring is shown in greater detail on Page 14 of the Install Guide. If you decide to add this
feature, you would cut the vehicles Yellow Starter in a convenient place near the ignition switch and wire-in the relay.
It looks like the 4 Pin Alt connector can be used to provide an additional high current IGN type output. Your truck needs
one Starter, two IGN's and possibly two ACC's. The APS-997c can provide everything but the ACC2 output from the Six
Pin connector. Again, I am not familiar with the Audiovox unit, but it looks like through programming Bank 3, Feature 8 to
Option 3 ( 3 Chirps ) it will set this output to "Same as Accy". If that means it will provide +12V output like a typical
Accessory circuit output during a remote start, you're all set.
