Hey guys, new to the forum here and newish to automotive electronics. So, a friend of mine gave me a prostart keyless entry and remote start kit. Ive wired up all the ignition and remote start stuff. remote start works like a charm. And the lock button locks and arms my car. But im having an issue with the unlock. I used relays to convert the negative output from my module to a positive one using the diagram on this website. https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagramm8.html but my unlock doesnt work. The module has a double pulse option and i used it because the unlock is double pulse. But still nothing. Any thoughts? Do i need to wire a relay for double pulse?

What wire are you using for unlock. Manually test and verify function of the "unlock" wire.
It goes without saying verify the unlock relay is clicking/working when you press unlock on the remote.

Im using RED / black for unlock and yellow/red for lock. I have tested with a DMM to check. The relay does not click. But when i use a signal tester connected to ground, it clicks a bunch of times and my doors unlock. Only when i touch the pin that is connected to my module.

Sounds like the prostart has a dead output (green wire?). Could this be why your friend isn't using it anymore and giving it away?

Maybe. The package was unopened when he gave it to me. Dang that sucks. Maybe i'll go out and get another module
