I recently purchased a replacement Code Alarm Remote CA-TX630. I followed the directions and the alarm programmed fine, but the remote start feature no longer works. It is not in Valet mode. When I hold down the bottom right blue button my car beeps and lights flash 4 times??? please help. thanks

4 flashes indicates remote start valet mode is on. Take the unit out of valet mode.

Unfortunately, I have put it on and off Valet mode several times.  I know it is on or off because when it's on, the Blue LED is flashing on my dash.  The hood and truck are closed.  Any other ideas why remote start would not work?????

Ok that was worth a blind shot.

I'm guessing you have either a Code Alarm CA530 or CA630, and info from the CA530 manual says

"Unit will chirp 4 times if tach is not yet learned or vehicle has not been
manually started if in Blind Crank Timing Mode."

Yes, it is a CA630.  Not exactly sure what "tach is not yet learned or vehicle has not been
manually started if in Blind Crank Timing Mode"  is?    Is this something I can do myself??  Thanks.

I suggest taking a look at the installation manual for your system.

The manual for the 530 is on this site here

Browse the programming section for the relevant info.

As to what tach and blind crank is, it's how the remote start determines when to stop cranking when starting the car. Tach is monitoring the rpm of the engine to determine when it's running. Blind crank is cranking the starter for a pre-determined amount of time and expecting that the car has started by the end of it.
