hi, my first post here and hoping it's not out of place. i'm installing a compustar remote start (cs800s with the cm600s brain) on a 2012 hyundai sonta (standard start, regular key), but i'm having some confusion about the door locks and the arm/disarm wiring for the ketless entry portion. can anyone tell me how to wire the door locks with the cm600s? it had normal lock/unlock outputs but also has programmable arm/disarm outputs. any help would be appreciated. thanks!!

If I remember correctly, when you did the Factory Alarm disarm, it would also unlock the doors. Here is the info from DEI for the disarm function :
Factory Alarm Disarm Orange and Brown (double pulse) both (-) @ dash fuse box, white 24 pin plug (D), pins 16 & 22 Here is a photo of that plug and the wires :

Think I would try it this way first on your CM600-s unit. CN3, Pin 4 Blue (-) Unlock wire split into two wires, with a 1N4001 diode in each, connected to the two wires listed and shown above. Diode band should be towards the CM600-s. Program CM600-s Feature 1-05 to ON for the required double unlock pulse. This should disarm and unlock the doors.
If it only disarms the Factory Alarm system and does not unlock the doors, then switch this wire from the Sonata to the CM600-s Disarm Output wire, CN3 Pin 6 ORANGE / White, connect the CM600-s Blue Unlock wire to Yellow Unlock wire shown in the photo. Also change programming Feature 1-05 back to OFF and change Feature 2-06 to Double Pulse.

The easy way is to use the door lock button in the drivers door as you exit the car.
Here is how you do it with the R/S : Factory Alarm Arm WHITE/ Orange (-) & Brown (open) @ dash fuse box, white 24 pin plug (D), pins 15 and 22 Use the CM600-s CN2 Pin 5 Orange (-) Rearm Output and split the wire into two, one leg goes to the Brown wire with a 1N4001 diode, band towards the CM600-s and the other leg goes to a SPDT relay, Pin 85. Relay Pin 86 to +12V through 1 Amp fuse Relay Pin 87a to one side of cut Brown wire Relay Pin 30 to other side of cut Brown wire Relay Pin 87 not used - insulate
See DEI TechTip for their wiring suggestion : https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1085 ------------- Soldering is fun!

if it was my car i would probably just re-arm with the door switch lol now, wouldn't that mean the leg of the orange wire from from the R/S with the diode would go to the WHITE/ orange wire in the car? and the the relay would be used to interrupt the brown wire?

Correct. The CM600-s Orange led with diode goes to the vehicle WHITE/ Orange and the other leg ( w/o diode ) goes to control the relay. The relay allows the cut Brown wire to work normally through the "Normally Closed" pin 87a to 30 circuit and will momentarily open the Brown wire when it receives the CM600 Arm pulse. ------------- Soldering is fun!

man, i want to say huge thanks for the info. i did the job today and everything works..... more or less. i can't really get a re-am with it though. and it acts crazy , like sometimes it starts and all's well and other times it unlocks the doors when it starts. i don't know. i can only assume i did something wrong; probably a crappy connection. is there some kind of interface for this model car? i'm also looking at an install on a 2009 santa fe. will it be the same? again, thanks A LOT!!!

Are you using the CM600-s Disarm output? The Disarm output not only happens with an Unlock but also with a remote start. On the 2011 Sonata in the Pictorial, the R/S's Disarm output was not used and the Unlock output was programmed for a double pulse, split and only connected to the vehicles' two "disarm" wires ( Brown & Orange ). Did you test these two wires with a double pulse to see if the Factory Alarm disarmed and the doors unlocked? The Factory Alarm does not get triggered with a remote start-up, so no need to "disarm" prior to a remote start.
As for the Rearm, you could check to see if the relay is getting triggered ( should feel / hear a click ). Also ensure the diode is installed correctly with the band towards the R/S. ------------- Soldering is fun!

yes, i did use the disarm output for for the orange and brown wires in the car and the cm600 unlock wire on the cars' yellow wire. i can change that. and the relay is clicking on the lock command and the diode band is towards the cm600. also, i'm not sure if it matters, but i noticed the brain says "cm800" and not 600.

As a test, disconnect the Compustar's Unlock wire from the car's Yellow unlock wire and see if an Unlock command still unlocks the doors ( via the Disarm pulse the Compustar sends out just prior to the Unlock pulse ). If it does, then switch that Disarm connection from the Compustar's Disarm wire over to the Compustar's Unlock wire.
There are some differences between the CM600 and CM800. Here is a link to the CM800 Install Guide : https://techfeed.compustar.com/ft_controllers/manuals/CM800_Full_Install_V1.1_EN.pdf ------------- Soldering is fun!
