my notes dont say anything about being a 5 wire trunk release system....

are you talking about the drivers door lock motor?????

the trunk releasae should be a positive system..
Trunk Release WHITE/ BLUE (+) AT 12 PIN WHT CONN DR KICK

Yes, trunk release is 5-wire on that car. The WHITE/ blue wire rests at ground from the integration relay, and if you apply positive power directly to it, you'll simply blow fuses.

The goal here is to apply power to the motor so that the trunk will open....but not to send power to the integration relay....this isn't hard; there's just a little more work wiring up your relay.

First, you cut the WHITE/ blue wire in half. The side of the wire that goes toward the trunk goes to the release motor...and if you power it up, the trunk will open. The other side is going to the integration relay.

So, you'll wire up your relay like this:

85 and 87: fused 12 volts.
85: trunk-release output from your alarm.
87a: integration relay side of the WHITE/ blue wire.
30: trunk motor side of the WHITE/ blue wire.

So, when everything is at rest, 87a and 30 are connected...meaning your car is sitting just like it came from the factory.

When you push the button on your remote, the relay of course turns on. Now, the relay breaks the WHITE/ blue wire in half, but it also sends power to the trunk motor...because 87 and 30 are now connected together, and then the trunk opens.

i think Chris means this:
86 and 87 12 volts
85 wire from alarm (neg output)
30 to motor
87a to car side of trunk release wire.

i think it was a typo when he said
85 87 12 volts
and then 85 output from alarm

most alarms use a neg. output for the trunk release.

Hey, good call. I guess I wasn't paying attention. Yes, 86 and 87 should get power; 85 should get the negative trunk release output from the alarm.
