im working on a 00' caddy seville, and im trying to get access to the factory antenna ring around the key lock cylinder so i can put a universal keybox antenna around so i can interface with the passkeyIII, the ignition lock cylinder is located on the dash in this vehicle, and so far ive removed the radio to try to acces it from behind the dash, with no luck. ive talked to tech support at audiovox and they say the trim ring should come off from the front of the cylinder, but it doesnt feel like it wants to come off very easily. has anyone worked on this car who knows how to get this apart to put an antenna ring around the cylinder????
thanks for your help!!!!!!

Don't know the car but the ring might be secured by a screw.Try to locate a small screw on the side on the lock cylinder.Usually they have a small screw to hold them on the cylinder.

I've only done one of those cars, but I'm pretty sure the front does pop off. And if it helps you at all, I think there are a couple of bolts you can undo, and the entire switch can be moved around.

Use a bypass module that doesn't use a spare key. 555G from DEI or PKG4 (I think) from bypasskit.com
