I recently installed a AutoPage C3-RS-730 Alarm/Remote Start in my 1998 Subaru legacy 5spd. The alarm side functions properly but I'm haven trouble getting the remote start to work. I program the remote start and when I go to start it with the remote it says "Engine stop". What could be the issue is there a wire that I'm missing to hookup? Also i bypassed the clutch *temporally* so that i could verify the remote start function would operate correctly before adding a bypass relay.

Pretty sure there's no need for a bypass on that vehicle...however you need to tag park brake, and door triggers as well as the clutch...with that said almost all remote starters on manual transmission vehicles have an arming sequence...if you do not follow the arming sequence the remote start will not operate.   It is a safety feature...

At the top of Page 4, the C3-RS-730 LCD “ Multi-Color “ Installation Manual has this warning :

This Remote Starter with Alarm and Keyless Entry System has been designed to be installed on fuel-injected vehicles
with an automatic transmission ONLY.
Never install this remote starter on a manual transmission vehicle.

That being said where do you have this wire connected to in your manual transmission car?
H6/8 BLACK/ WHITE WIRE – (-) Neutral Safety Switch Input or (-) Enable Switch Input
