I installed a Avital 4113 in my 2002 Subaru Outback. Everything works fine with the following exception.

This car doesn't have a disarm wire, and the only way to disarm is with the factory keyfob. This is fine as I intended to use use the factory keyfob to lock(arm)/unlock(disarm).

What I just noticed is that the factory keyfob stops functioning once the car is started! So now once the remote starter starts the car, I can't unlock it unless I turn off the car.

Does anyone know how I can force they factory keyfob to operate once the car is started?

Why not use the 4113s unlock output and put it to the Subaru unlock wire

2000-2002
SUBARU OUTBACK

Disarm No Unlock      GREEN / WHITE (factory alarm ignition sense)      interrupt      security control module behind center dash

Interrupt the factory alarm ignition sense wire to keep the factory alarm from triggering during remote start. The factory starter interrupt is blue/black (-) at the security control module.

POWER UNLOCK      GREEN/ RED (TYPE B)      IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL, HARNESS FROM DOOR

Thank you for the answer. I wish there was a way just to use the factory remote though. I might just deal with using the key for now.

While we're at it, does anyone know where the tach wire is? The diagram says YELLOW /GREEN at the ignition coil. There is no such color wire there.

Back of gauge cluster, test, did one recently of similar vintage here in the UK, right position at the connector, different colour!

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Do you have the keysense wire hooked up? If so, disconnect it and see if the system will still disarm with just seeing the ignition and transponder.

Not sure about the older Subarus, but I did a 2011 and didn't use keysense. This kept the factory fob working.
