On the viper 5204v alarm Is it possible to use a different Viper 2 way remote like the one from the 5704 with the lcd display?

Yes it is possible, BUT... you must also install a matching control center. (antenna) ie 6711t control center.
I recently installed a Viper 4204 with a 6816T control center with a 7756 LCD remote.
You will have to pair the remote to the Viper unit with the matching antenna.
