Hey guys, A co-worker of mine bought An A6 that has the keyless entry/key combo. It doesn't work, even replaced battery. The dealer wants about 200.00 for new unit plus additional for programming. I suggested just getting a key and install a alarm/remote start (dei) that will also arm/disarm the factory alarm. Has anybody attacked this type of setup?? I did a 97 maxima with the same setup, it works. Just curious. Thnx in advance.

I forgot, I also have the diagrams which suggests it can be done, still curious though.
