Doing a 2007 Nissan Versa remote start this weekend....Pro-Start/DBALL2 bypass. Two possible ways to wire doorlocks (per DBALL2 instructions), depending on whether locks are through CAN or not. Can someone advise whether this is the case with the Versa, or how one goes about confirming this? Thks, Al

Door locks will be through the CAN network.

HOWEVER, if the vehicle has a factory alarm, then you will need to hardwire the door locks.

to test if the vehicle has an alarm:
roll down driver window
lock car with the remote or key in the door
wait 1 minute, reach through the window and unlock the car manually
open door and if the alarm goes off, hardwire is what youll need.

Need some advice on this install.....DBALL2 instructions show clutch 12V output (yellow/red) connecting to light green wire at clutch switch. Upon testing, light green wire shows 12 volts with ignition on, brown shows 12 volts when clutch is depressed. Shouldn't I be going to the brown wire with the DBALL2 clutch output so the vehicle sees clutch engaged when attempting R/S? Any input much appreciated! Al

on the blue 14 in harness,

Connect BROWN / RED pin 12 input (+) to LIGHT GREEN (+) @ clutch
Connect YELLOW/RED pin 11 output (+) to BROWN (+) @ clutch

the info isn't wrong, its just not clearly stated which is the input.

Thks ted, is there a source for tach signal somewhere in the interior, as opposed to running it to the engine compartment? BCM maybe? Any suggestions welcome....Al

if you have data mode set on your prostart then you just need to program tach. If you have it wire to wire, Connect violet/white (AC) from the dball 14pin plug to the purple tach input of the prostart.

your bypass module of choice supplies a tach signal so you can have it in the cabin, instead of running wires to the engine bay
