I have an older basic Ultra starter (early 2000s vintage) installed in my 1999 Toyota Corolla. It has worked great for many years. This morning, I remote started and ran the car for about 15 minutes, got in, and accidentally hit the brake before I got the key in (which I've done many times before without issue).

When I went to turn the car back on, there was no power whatsoever--no radio, chimes, lights, starter, etc. I tried removing the battery negative for a few minutes, no change. I also checked the fuses to the remote starter--they look good.

I do hear relays clicking in the remote starter, and the horn beeps. I'll be getting under the dash this evening with a meter, but I was hoping someone might have an idea or a temporary fix.. as it will be cold and dark here in Virginia when I get off work.

Thanks,
Doug

sounds like your ignition switch is unplugged or blown fuse that feeds ignition

Recharge the battery and have it tested; maybe it's old.

And check for drains.

No go on both of these. I have 12v to the ignition switch, and the switch tests good. I have the remote starter completely disconnected, so it doesn't appear to be the problem. Time to dig out a wiring diagram :(

That does not constitute a battery test. More info needed.
