I have a Viper 5906v installed with an ADS-ALCA module in my 2012 Chevy Camaro. Originally this module was installed in this car with an Autopage C3 RS-1100. When connected with the Autopage, the ADS module was flashed with the 2-way digital firmware. The system worked flawlessly. I needed a new remote and Autopage was out of stock so I purchased a Viper 5906v. I flashed the ADS module for the DBI and the operation seems to be intermittent. Some times the security system's operation is normal but other times it seems like it is not communicating with the ADS module correctly.
When the system is malfunctioning, the alarm will not lock or unlock the doors. Also, monitoring of the doors does not work nor does the trunk release. Remote start does still operate. When malfunctioning, the alarm does not communicate with the factory alarm. Today I disarmed the car and the doors did not unlock. I looked and sure enough, the factory red LED was flashing on the dash. I unlocked the car with the key and opened the door causing the factory alarm to initiate.
I would certainly appreciate anyone that could shed some light on this. Maybe a w2w configuration would be more appropriate.

I never liked the D2D that was between viper/idatalink. It seems to be glitchy most of the time, but that has been resurected with the current generations (which you have).
It seems the unit might be in w2w mode. There is a data fault so you should reprogram the idatalink module. Do a factory reset and a reprogram. Before your reprogram open and close the driver door.

I'll give that a try. If it still acts bizarre, I'll just hardwire the 5906v to the vehicle and only use the ADS-ALCA as a passkey III bypass. I think that I've got all of the needed connections there at the BCM (Dome supervision, hood pin, trunk pin, trunk release, lock, unlock.
