cm3000 in 1998.honda.accord v6

Compustar alarm/starter cm3000 brain

1. How do I hook/disable the factory alarm?

2. Do I need a relay for the trunk release with this brain??

3. Also to disable factory alarm can I just unplug the hood release   harness and put a jumper there to show a open loop.

4. Or is there another/better way to go through the drivers door, is there a pun I can pull from the harness rather than running a separate wire through wire loom??

5. Also the brain does not have a factory alarm wire??

6. Any other pointers for the trunk release +/- I am unclear of the wiring and the wiring diagram shows different.

1. Two methods. First method is to break the yellow wire with a relay in the passenger fuse panel. This will prevent the alarm going off during remote start. Break continuity with a relay but cutting the wire, wire the relay
85 - status output CN2 Black
86 - constant 12v
cut yellow wire
87a - one side of wire away from plug
30 - one side of wire towards plug

Method two run your arm (CN5 orange) and disarm (CN5 ORANGE / White) wire to the passenger fuse panel. The wires you will need are the BLACK/ blue (-) Arm, Orange (-) Disarm. Set unit menu option 1-01 to Unlock, Start, Relock.

2. Yes you do. With a relay
85 - CN4 violet/white (-)
86 - constant 12v fused
87 - constnat 12 fused with 86
30 - trunk release wire WHITE/ Red (+) Driver kick panel

3. Keeping the hood ajar will cause your battery to drain. Not recommend.

4. There are no wires you need in the driver door that I'm aware of.

5. CN5 Pin 1 and 2 are your arm and disarm wires.

6. refer to 2.

Test all wires. Very easy car to do

Easiest way to disable factory alarm permanently is unplug hood switch and short the wires

OK so I understand trunk is a relay but I am unsure of the factory alarm as there are mixed answer as to pulling the plug on the hood release, as to putting a relay and cutting wires. In the wiring download it shows that the v6 has a blue wire in the drivers door in the switch that has to be tapped or cut so I wanna know if that is the case which wire goes there and also is that is easier.

Does the hood release actually drain battery power????

Hey I was just wondering on that factory alarm probably I posted do you have any pics or have you ever seen the one where you go to the drivers door and remove the pin from one of the harness.
I am confused on this issue only


Also unhook in hood 5 he other guy said it drains the battery is that true???

there are many ways to disable the factory alarm. of course for myself i integrate not eliminate. to each their own.

as far as the drivers door wire, you're getting the factory disarm there. same thing as the passenger side. i have pictures but sorry youll have to pull out a multimeter or test light and probe.

Hey no problem I really appreciate all your help but the wire in the dust panel is a thick or thin wire as there a few yellow wires and is it a arm or disarm wire

The yellow ignition sense disarm wire is somewhere along the bottom of the fuse box. this wire will become 12v when the ignition is turned on. connector G

the factory alarm arm and disarm is in the passenger fuse box top plug.

I think the unhook clip on hood release and jump wire is gonna be easier and if it drains battery I will check it and then run the extra 2 wires

But on another note are the 2 wires arm/disarm just tapped into the factory 2 wires in fuse box or are they cut ( BLACK/ blue (-) Arm, Orange (-) Disarm)

just do a wire splice. No need to cut anything

Hi there sorry to bug you Ted mind but now that car is apart those are the same wires for power lock/unlock but on the brain I do not use the lock/unlock wires but the alarm arm/disarm is this correct
