Hi, I have a 2015 Subaru Outback with PTS that I just installed the compustar CM7200 with blade AL in. It was my first remote start install, and my first time ever working with a Compustar/blade al I was able to program the smartkey to the unit, following the instructions. I was also able to setup the key fob to the remote start.

When I go to start the car remotely, the 2g9 remote gives me a red flash on the remote, and it does not start. The unit in the car clicks 3-4 times, then waits a second and clicks again. No attempt to start the car occurs.

I used the low voltage ignition plug for the car, except for the ignition2 which I used the high voltage, since it was the only connection that had this. Could this be the problem? should I have used all high voltage?

Thanks for any assistance!

not sure on the CM7200 but most compustar units have a green wire inside that have to be cut for automatic trans vehicles before they will start.

you shouldn't be mixing the ignition harnesses. either use low current or high current. also check the loop inside the unit. cut for auto

I cut the manual/auto wire inside the unit. The ignition is deffinately low voltage, but i needed the ignition2 that the low voltage did not have...should i switch it all to the high voltage?

Ended up the problem was that I needed to learn the Tach, so start the car, press the break and click on the remote start button.

It now starts the car.

Set's off the alarm when I try to open the door, so I have to work on that next.
