Factory remotes won't work when truck is remote started. You will need you run the unlock wire in the door.
POWER LOCK BROWN (TYPE B) See NOTE #3 @ MODULE INSIDE DRIVERS DOOR
POWER UNLOCK GRAY (TYPE B) Requires Double Pulse @ MODULE
NOTE #3: METER THRESE WIRES WHILE TURNING KEY IN THE DRIVERS DOOR KEY CYLINDER.UNLOCK REQUIRES A DOUBLE PULSE.

you're better off running the wires into the doors for unlock/lock. The vehicle automatically disables the factory remotes when the vehicle is running. After-all, once the vehicle is running there would be no need for factory keyless. IF you unlock with the oem remote and it starts, the doors would be unlocked. Not to mention your range would be limited to 30ft tops. The Viper remote would offer much more range.

Or use the second status output to keysense, black at ignition switch test:-
Set DMM to 20 VDC, red probe to constant source, black to suspect wire, meter will read 12VDC+ on inserting key.
If there's only one status wire, use a pair of 1N4004 diodes, bands towards the Viper to separate the signal.

THANKS. Still al ittle confused about diode isolation. Thought that diodes restrict flow of current, like a gate. Flow can only go in one direction. ------------- jf durf

You need diodes to isolate the keysense and bypass module. if you didnt do this, every time a key went into the tumbler, the bypass would turn on. Not what you want.
