what i need is someone to explain to me what i need to do operate the locks with the avital key fob. i know the car is +lock/unlock and the brain is - polarity. what type of lock system is in this car, the 5 wire or reverse polarity type?

this is my first and last remote start job (wifes car) everything works i just dont quite understand the locks. any help is much  appreciated!

The door lock and unlock wires are at the 16 pin gray connector of the BCM, below the radio. Pin A2 is a light blue wire (lock) and pin A3 is white (unlock) They need a positive pulse to activate. You need 2 relays (one for lock and one for unlock)to convert the negative output from the remote starter to a positive pulse. See the relay diagram link on the left side of this website on the wiring to convert a negative pulse to a positive one (polarity change).

ok so i just follow the reverse polarity diagram, got it.

what wires are you refering to? according to the wiring diagram

Power Lock lt. blue + BCM, pink plug, pin B4
Notes: The BCM is located in the center console, below the radio.
Power Unlock dk. blue + BCM, 24 pin gray plug, pin A3

if i got it right , thelock and unlock wires at the bcm connect to 30 on the relays and the lock unlock wires from the remote start connect to 86 and 85?

Two relays required:-
5 amp fuse green and blue from alarm to 85 on each.
Constant power on each 5 amps fused to 86 and 87.
You got the rest right.
Or a 451 relay module from DEI, plugs straight in to lock socket on Viper.

Because that's a motor interrupt.
Look AGAIN at my post for the wiring, if you have 5 pin relays ignore 87a. Bet you're looking at the 5 wire install diagram, that reverses the motor wires you're simply reversing polarity, BEG to POS.
Relay 1
Blue from Viper to 85
86 AND 87 to 12V+ constant fused at 5 amps.
Share with relay 2
30 relay 1 to dark blue + BCM, 24 pin grey plug, pin A3
Relay to Green from Viper to 85
86 and 87 see above.
30 to light blue + BCM, pink plug, pin B4
