Appreciate it. going to use a idatalink bypass on this. Any experience with one on the versa?

the idata works well. Make sure you dont power up the acc as ignition by accident. you will get a CEL if you do.

Appreciate the tip. This will be my first time using one of these type bypasses. Are they really as time saving as they seem? Looks like most of the wires from the remote start just connect to the bypass. no relays or anything for the door locks.

Bypasses are constantly evolving and for a good portion of my dealer specific installs a bypass is the remote start!!! the time saving is from not having to do certain connections...door locks, tach, brake, door status, park brake, hood status etc, etc, etc...these options vary from car to car but it's making life easier for installers...does it save time...that's all relative...Cars are becoming more And more complex, and unfortunately that makes space tight...which can make getting something as simple as a brake wire a nightmare...and in walks ADS with a bypass that saves you that step...it's often a relief...

Have these options in the Idata manual
Versa Sedan STD key 12-14 1
Versa Sedan STD key w/ alarm 12-14 2

Whats the easiest way to tell if factory alarm is installed?

Lock the doors with the factory key fob with the drivers window rolled down, wait and a minute for the system to arm...or not arm as the case may be...once you've waited open the door from the inside manually unlocking the door from the inside...if the horn goes nuts you got an alarm if nothing happens you got none! Hope that helps :)
