Hey I'm wondering as to why the grey valet key is recommended for the spare key in the 556u? I'm trying to do a 05 BMW x3. What issues will occur? I can remove the whole chip out of the key if its a fitment issue...but the customer only has 2 regular keys.

Removing the chip won't work.
Using a regular key with buttons also won't work, you get lock/unlock issues, also the valet key fits perfectly into a 556U, wired as per Euro instructions.
