hey guys I installed a remote start on a 2012 kia sorento with a pushbutton start,v6,auto trans.i used a prestige aps-57e and an flcan.it locks and unlocks the doors but will not crank.i do notice that when the doors are locked with the remote key fob the led on the antenna keeps blinking and the led on the flcan does not light up while trying to remote start. this is my 4th remote install and I am learning, any ideas?

I do mainly idatalink stuff but flash link is the same thing. What did you flash the module with ? Did you follow the install guide correctly ? Are you using the 3 diodes the guide calls for ?

keep the door shut and locked then try to remote start. it will not crank with a door open. verify the 2 pts wires and ensure brake lights go on during start.

to start the vehicle, you need to step on the brake and hold the start button. to trick this vehicle into starting, the bypass turns on a relay to energize the brake circuit temporarily. when remote starting make sure brake lights turn on for a few seconds. it will disengage right after starting.

Never used a prestige but I know with several other brand you have to program the RS for push-to-start...worth checking I think
