Hi, Today I installed a Viper 4104 remote starter along with an XK09 Xpresskit bypass module into a 2007 Chevy Impala. This is a friends car, so I will not be able to just go try 1 thing and report back. I would like some thoughts on these issues and then I will take the car in on a Saturday and try to get it straightened out. Thank you all in advance for your help

I have 2 problems

1st when the key is inserted into the ignition while the car is remote started the car immediately shuts off as the key is inserted into the ignition.

2nd when I start and run the car with the key, the blue status light stays on solid all the time while running. I have checked and it is not in Valet mode.

Here are some install notes.
The bypass module and Viper module are connected via D2D harness, I pulled constant power for the large awg relay input wires from the power wires at the BCM, I used the heavy awg pink relay wire for my ign 1, and I used the light awg orange wire (200ma) for the Acc wire.

Here is the first issue :
Did you test the Impala's Brown ACC wire with a DMM?  I believe you will find that it is a (+) circuit.  The Viper 4104's thin Orange
200mA ACC wire is a (-) output.  The proper connection would be the thick Orange (+) ACC output to the Impala's Brown (+) ACC
wire.

Think it might be best to provide a complete wire by wire connection chart to allow the forum members to assist you.

Soldering is fun!

That sounds right. I didnt even realize that because this install was giving me such a hard time and after 5 hours you cant think straight. That should fix both issues. Thank you
