Hey guys I was hoping I could get a little help. I've been reading around on the site and I'm still unsure.
I have a 2005 F350 diesel and I am installing a Viper 5706v.
I'm a little confused on the 10 pin harness.
This is how I am thinking of hooking it up.
RED / black + fused 12v accessory/starter input--->ACCESSORY /HEATER blower 1 gray / YELLOW +
pink/black + flex relay input 87a key side of flex relay---> NC
pink/white + ignition 2/flex relay output---> NC
red + fused 12v ignition 1 input---> ignition 1 WHITE/ yellow or RED / light green
green + starter input key side---> starter dark green, split this wire and this will be key side
violet + starter output starter side---> starter dark green, split this wire and this will be starter side
orange + accessory output---> ACCESSORY /HEATER blower 2 dark blue/light green
RED / white + fused 12v ignition 2/flex relay input 87---> ignition 2 RED / black
pink + ignition 1 input/output---> NC
I'm a bit confused with the pink and pink/white. Should I be using these instead?
I appreciate any help or input.

There is conflicting info on the trucks ignition wires from the various wire guide listings. You should use a DMM and verify all the ignition wires yourself to be sure. While it wasn't a diesel, I did a Pictorial on a 2002 F250 5.4 V-8 Super Duty that should help. Here is a link : https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=133810 On that vehicle I found ( and powered during R/S ) two Ignition's, two Accessory's and one Starter wire. You would need an additional relay to duplicate that with your Viper. Anyway, depending on what you find, ReadyRemote has this info : 12volts lt. GREEN/ purple (30A) + ignition switch, gray 13 pin plug, pin 9 Starter dk. green + ignition switch, gray 13 pin plug, pin 5 Ignition RED / lt. green + ignition switch, gray 13 pin plug, pin 1 Accessory gray / YELLOW + ignition switch, gray 13 pin plug, pin 8 Second Accessory RED / black + ignition switch, gray 13 pin plug, pin 13
Going with the above info and matching it up to your Viper H3 harness looks like this : Viper H3 2005 F350 @ ignition switch harness 1 NC No Connection not used 2 RED / BLACK (+) FUSED 12V ACC/STARTER INPUT lt. GREEN/ purple (30A) 3 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A not used 4 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY * set to ACC2 RED / black + 5 RED (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 1 INPUT lt. GREEN/ purple (30A) 6 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE) dk. green + 7 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE) dk. green + 8 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT gray / YELLOW + 9 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 2 lt. GREEN/ purple (30A) 10 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT RED / lt. green + ------------- Soldering is fun!

Kreg thank you for the reply.
I have verified the wires I have in the truck with a DMM. I do have 1 starter wire, 2 ignition wires and 2 accessory wires. So how does that effect the wiring?

On the truck in the Pictorial, the wires tested as : Starter = Dark Green IGN1 = RED / Lt Green IGN2 = RED / Black ACC1 = Gray / YELLOW ACC2 = Dk Blue/Lt Green
The Viper connections for that would be : 1 NC No Connection not used 2 RED / BLACK (+) FUSED 12V ACC/STARTER INPUT Lt. GREEN/ Purple (30A) 3 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A not used 4 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY * set to IGN2 RED / Black + 5 RED (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 1 INPUT Yellow #1 6 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE) Dk. Green + 7 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE) Dk. Green + 8 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT Gray / YELLOW + 9 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 2 Yellow #2 10 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT RED / Lt. Green +
That would leave the Dk Blue/Lt Green ACC2 wire. For that you would use a relay with 25 Amp inline fuse, wired as below : Relay Pin 85 to Viper Pin 23 ORANGE (-) 200mA ACCESSORY OUTPUT Relay Pin 86 and 87 to +12V constant through 25 Amp fuse Relay Pin 30 to ACC2 Dk Blue/Lt Green @ ignition harness ------------- Soldering is fun!

Kreg thank you so much.
Do I need to use a diode like in your write up? Or is that for something different?
Again thank you for your help and time.

The diode is protection for the Viper on it's Orange (-) 200mA Accessory Output wire. With the wire coming on, then going off during cranking and then back on after the engine is running, there could be a coil collapse spike generated. I would add the diode, cheap insurance.

Thank you I will add the diode. Like you said, cheap insurance.
I have one issue with the alarm portion I'm also unsure of.
I do have the alarm side of the 5706v hooked up. I can lock/unlock, arm/un arm with the remote.
When I drove into work this morning, parked and hit the lock button it locked and armed. Then a second later it showed "door open" on the remote. A second later it went away.
Do you know why it would show door open?

your door trigger input is most likely active due to the positive dome light wire.
In programming Menu 2 Item 4 change to Option 2
