After losing my original condition 75K 2001 Acura Integra Type R (01-0424) in less than 4 weeks of ownership I decided to add a security system to my 1991 Integra LS street/track (road not drag) car. It's based on a Python 5710P with 1-mile 2-way remote sensor monitoring and an Escort/Blackline Entourage CIS for GPS location monitoring as summarized in the functional block diagram (720 pixels wide, I don't know how to downsize to 640, apologies).

I'm using three Directed sensors (504D Shock, 507M Tilt and 508D) based on suggestions by Howie and others. I added a variety of alarm responses tailored to an urban and expected threat environment.

The Entourage provides three notification mechanisms: webpage, e-mail and SMS. I chose the Entourage over AudioVox, etc GPS solutions because the SMS is the best fit for my smartphone (no special apps, etc). The Entourage has a motion sensor that detects vehicle movement but by then the car is already on the road. I needed an earlier notification so I triggered it's Vehicle Battery Disconnect Warning notification when the Full Alarm event occurs. Between the Python remote and the smartphone I should be alerted while the car is still where I parked it.

The functional block diagram is my Layer 2 design. I'm developing a Layer 3 Wiring Diagram which will have all the diodes, relays, etc. Comments? Corrections? I really appreciate the information I obtained on this forum.
