Hi all

I have Python 594 (5904P) installed and working fine on my Honda Del Sol.

If I lock my car when leaving, it will usually lock, beep, then about 10 second later beep again, and the remote will say "Remote Start Error"
When I unlock the car after it has sat, I unlock, it unlocks and it beeps and shows unlock icon. The responder beeps again, says " Remote start error" and the parking lights flash 6 times.
does anyone know what I should check?
thank You,
Biospot
Why would it show "remote start error" on remote? Why blink lights 6 times?.
I am not using remote start. I am not using hood, and the hood pin is working. When I run smart start from my iphone it reports the hood is "closed" but still the remote causes 6 light blinks and the remote says "remote start error>
I should note. Everything works. remote start, smart start, door lock/unlock, trunk open, everything. I just don't understand the errors.
Thanks if anyone can give me information

NOTE: I installed this myself. I was a Honda certified master tech and had "not too much" trouble. It has been working for 7 months but this issue seems to be unknown on google.

I installed a New python on my girlfriends aunts car about 3 months ago and it was doing goofy stuff with the remote and the car too. In further investigation, I opened the remote and noticed the battery contacts on the remote were hazed over causing a poor connection.

I cleaned the contacts and haven't had a ounce of trouble since. I don't know if this is your problem but It's worth a shot. If its not the case you may have a remote start antenna issue thats causing faulty 2-way communication.

thank you. Maybe it needs a good restart at the micro-chip level

It's worth a try.
