I able to installed a RS on my Accord a few weeks ago and want to install it on my mom's CR-V also. She wants a basic 1-button remote so I'm going to buy an Avital 4113 with FLCAN. Below is what I think I need and just wanted to make sure it's right before I start installing it next week.

idatalink is great, but sometimes iffy with the DBI protocol. I would hardwire your brake as well.

other than that, wiring looks good.

Thanks for looking it over, Ted. Should I connect the H3/3 Brown (+) Brake Shutdown over to the FLCAN GRAY/RED (+) Brake Status Output or to the CR-V Blue (+) Brake Shut down?

Never hurts to go directly to the source. You can get the wire right in the kick panel, or right at the brake switch. Usually I grab it at the switch for simplicity sake.

The 1 button is easy to use, but you will loose the trunk pop and lock. Not a major loss, but still a loss. The 4103 might be a better option. Not sure if you were aware, but the oem remotes are not functional when the vehicle is under remote start.
