I have installed the keyless entry and alarm which both work, but the remote start continues to baffle me. I've Googled like crazy and have found a few posts to help, but haven't found a definitive answer. I've tried a few different wiring expirements, but still won't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What does the unit do exactly?

Over crank, doesn't crank, doesn't attempt to start, start error codes?

Need more information

I think you'll be wasting your time, never known one to actually work.
Is there a bypass involved/needed for that vehicle?

It doesn't do anything. The relays just tic when I try it. And no there's no bypass that I know of.

You might have a transponder chipped key and need a bypass module.  Toyota started using them in the 2005 Matrix.  Try this test :

Tried the test. The car would crank but now start. I'm guessing that means I need a bypass module.

Just to be clear though it doesn't even crank with the remote start

You could have more than one issue.  Place the ignition key fully into the ignition switch but do not turn it ( to ACC or ON ).  Then try a remote start.

It would definitely help other forum members if you could post a link to the Giordon G686SP Install Manual ( or upload it to the Downloads section ) and list all of your current wiring connections.  While the Matrix is fairly common, the Giordon R/S is rarely seen / used in these parts.

For the needed bypass module, look at something like the XpressKit PKALL or Fortin Key-Override-All.  Here is a link to the PKALL install guide : https://www.xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=6231&productid=196&firmwareid=1636

if it doesn't attempt to crank at all, you missed the ignition 2 wire.

Thanks for the help, it's been a minute since I've had time to mess with it.

The alarm directions don't tell me which wire to connect to the 2nd ignition.

   Alarm wires   Car wires
12 pin
Negative black        Grounded
Negative gate     blue trunk blue/white

startup detection purple       to what i believe is the tach BLACK/ white
(manual states to engine oil sensing on instrument panel, but everything I've read states connect to tach)

positive        red positive 12volt
pedal detection orange        brake GREEN / WHITE

on detection     white BLACK/ white (1st ignition)
(manual states: to on lock cylinder when key is turned on, voltage is + 12volts)

4 pin module
starter wire     blue  red
to cylinder on   white BLACK/ white (1st ignition)
(manual states:to on lock cylinder when key is turned on, voltage is + 12volts)

accessory        green blue/red

RED / black      BLACK/ white (1st ignition)
(manual states: to lock cylinder on)

I have a black\yellow wire which is the second ignition but not sure which to connect. I also have a blue/black which is not used that is the key sense

What you are looking for is a wire marked 2nd. ignition on the Giordon, either marked POS or NEG output before we can go to the next level.
OR, take your ignition output from the Giordon, divide it to two standard automotive relays terminal 86. Then 15 amps fused constant to each at 87, ground 85 and 30 to each ignition wire.
Out of interest, if the engine speed sensor for the Giordan is marked "oil pressure switch", I'd dump it now before it wrecks your engine.
No professional would touch one of these.

That's the problem, the wires aren't labeled. Just the directions stating to connect to lock cylinder on. And as for dividing wires, I have no idea what any of that means. I'm usually pretty good at stuff like this, but this time I'm dumbfounded.

If there are any diagrams please post. If you don't understand what I meant by divide, give up you shouldn't be doing this.
