I have a CM7200 installed with the EXGO accessory and the EZGO has the ability to release a trunk, but not remote star. My car does not have a trunk release, so I am looking to connect the trunk output to the trigger start input.

After looking at the diagram the trunk out put is negative and the trigger start in is positive. Do I have to covert the negative output to use it with the positive input?

the trunk output is positive on the large gauge harness. GREEN / WHITE assuming you have not used it for parking lights or starter2
