Viper 5902 Toggle Switch Off message

I have been having this problem for a while, and it seems random. When I try to remote start the car, I would get the message from the 5902 remote that the toggle switch is off. I tested the switch with a multimeter before and all seems to be fine. After just messing around with it (unplugging and replugging, moving stuff around) after a while the remote start will work again.

The remote start has been working for the past year, and I didn't do anything with it. But this week when the temperature reached 110, I thought I would use it again, but I got the message again. I don't know how a simple switch could fail, but after reading some comments, I figured that if the neutral safety wire is not properly grounded it would give the same message about the toggle switch being off?

I just want to know if someone have some experience with this and could be the neutral safety wire before I try to take the thing apart and work on it this weekend.

Yes, I connected to the same ground as the H1 black. I'm wondering if it's loose, though I never check the H2 plug since whenever I saw the message I always check the toggle switch and the plug on the toggle switch. Remote start generally works for extended periods of time until sometimes if I unplug the battery and to do other work, that it would stop working and complain about the toggle switch when I never touched it.

H2 BLACK/ white and H1 black must go to a bolt, scrape underneath to bare metal.
Don't use a self tapping screw they can work loose.
Use your meter, do a voltage check between your ground point and any of the input fuses, should be at least 12.3 VDC.
Try pulling on the connections including ground point to see if they are loose and that voltage drops.

I got it to mysteriously working again.

I decide to play with it like how I got it working before -- sometimes it would start working if I disconnect the power to the remote start in certain way. So, I tried remote start the car, got "Toggle Switch Off" message. Without doing anything else, I disconnect the fuse that powers 5902. Reconnect the fuse. Everything works again. I think next time I lose power or something I need to do the same thing. I don't know why this is other than maybe there is something slightly wrong with it.

I'm not going to tried to troubleshoot it further since it's 110F outside. I might tried to figure it out in the fall. Thanks for the troubleshooting ideas.
