Hello again guys

2 days ago a techinican installed a viper 5704 alarm on my hyundai accent hb 2013.

Alamr seems to be working fine, since it does the very basic functions: open / close the doors and info is shown on the lc3 remote.

however I need to enable some features like

Double lock pulses to open/ close the doors
Auto re-arm with locks (passive arming)
lock/unlock when car is ignited

as well the remote start

I read the owners guide and follow the whole process

1. Open the door
2. insert the key and turn ON & OFF the ignition (keep the key inserted)
3. Press the antenna button once, it chrips once (I'm on menu 1)
4. Press the antenna button 6 times and relase it + 1 more time (keep hold) to select the feature 6, now it blinks 6 times
5. Press the remote lock button 2 times, and it chirps 2 times
6. relase the antenna and remote buttns

close the door and alarm sound one time

---NOTHING HAPPENS...

pressing the buttons lock / unlcok twice does not work. (same for AUTO-REARM feature, is not enabled)

I've found some guides, forums and videos, and certainly are a bit different from manual's instructions.

some people say the antenna button must be relased once you have selected the feature and then just press the remote lock

some other says the key must be removed from the begining, after turn ON/OFF the ingintion, and then inserted again when you have selected the feature, then close the door.

...etc.

I've tried so many times with different combinations but nothing worked.

So, I wonder if alarm was correctly installed or not. Besides car's lights does not blink when the alarm is enabled or disabled.
Unfortunately, I was very hard to get a technician who wanted to install this alarm, since in Peru, Viper alarms are not common, and seems the guy have not even know the brand, besides he didnt read english as well.

I want to enable the remote start, but I remember hyundai store technician says it can't be enable on this cars since it can produce an explotion and fire...(he was very dramatic). Is that real?

Any help in how to test the alarm, or programm those features will be wellcome

thank you!

after the key ON - OFF cycle you need to HOLD the button until it chirps ONCE.
Release button and tap button 6 times. then press hold once more. should chirp 6 times.
while still holding button press UNLOCK on the remote.
should chirp 2 times
Release button turn key ON.

the only thing i see wrong is your step 3. you need to HOLD the button.

thank you icearrow

I followed your instructions, but still the same, no one feature gets activated.

On my previous post I forget to say I keep hold the antenna button on 7th press, in order to enter the feature 6.

while keep pressing the antenna button, and then press the lock / unclok on remote, I have to search for an number of chirp related to opton to get activaed, in my case #2 (2 chrips).

after this step, the owners manual does not mention to close the door, or turn on the key, however I have tried both options, but its useless.

Does that mean the alarm is not correctly installed?

I want to enable the remote start, but I dont want to burn my car :)!

Door trigger connected or green wire grounded?

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
