Viper 791xv key pinout wrong?

Finally installing an 791xv thats been sitting around a long time.
going over the install manual and prepping the wire I noticed the pinout for the heavy gauge inline connector key switch is labeled differently than how the connector is actually wired.

In this photo the bottom left wire is the purple and in the #1 location...at least as how I am familiarized with plug numbering and corresponds correctly to the diagram. But the Green wire would actually be in the #5 slot on the plug, but the diagram says it should be in the #2 position. Even if this went in some weird alternating numbering from top to bottom of plug the wires would still be off when you get to the pink and red wires.

So I'm confused. Do i disregard the diagram numbering and just go with the colors and connect appropriately or should I be concerned?

I don't have an 8-wire connector to compare to your pic. The 791xv I installed in my F250 8 years ago uses a "satellite relay" instead of on-board relays like yours does.

I'd wire it up on the bench and test it using the harness as-is. Connect power and ground, and put small bulbs on the outputs, one lead of the bulb to ground. You will have to enter program mode, and set "engine checking" to "none" to make it remote start without a tach signal. My instinct tells me that the harness is OK the way it is. But I'd test it, and make it work first before connecting it to the vehicle

I do installs as a DIY'r and for friends. I always pre-check the units on the bench, to  make sure the outputs do what I need them to do, and where I can pre-program them to keep horn-honks to a minimum so the neighbors aren't too annoyed.
