Hello all i have a 2000 150 xlt 4.6l 2wd i just installed a soundstream remote start with the fortin key override all bypass the issue im having is the parking light + wire coming off the headlight switch is when i turn the parking lights on with the switch the theft light flashes fast and then when i shut it off the alarm flashes the lights and honks the horn.... should there be a relay between them or is direct wired to the remote start okay? The manual says nothig about a relay being used but it was a pretty vague install booklet

What wire color did you use for the (+) PL ?

I believe it's the brown wire for parking light +

I hooked the remote starts parking light + wire into the brown wire at the headlight switch
