2009 Toyota Avalon with Smart Key, Button Start
I recently had a remote start installed and was wondering what the behavior should be?
Currently:
If i remote start (Doors Locked):
Marker Lights blink and car starts
Unlock car done with Arctic Start remote
Get in, shut door, push brake and drive off.
If i remote start (Door Unlocked):
Marker lights blink and car start
Get in, shut door, push brake ENGINE SHUTS OFF.
If i get in, shut door, push start button the engine turns off
then i push the brake and the engine restarts, place in drive and drive off.
This seems appropriate, but i have never had a push to start/smart key vehicle before..
Can someone enlighten me.. I am trying to clear up any miscommunication when I call the shop. Also wondering if there are other ways to program the behavior.
