I have looked everywhere to solve this puzzle, so here I am.

I have installed on my Toyota 2005 4runner a Fortin Key-Override-All (flashed for the 4runner) following the diagram where the blue wire from the inmobilizer harness shows a remote symbol for the remote start. It is labeled (-)"while running".

The Avital 4103 has a 4 pin connection called "Satellite Harness".
This harness has pin 1 (blue wire) labeled (-)200mA Status Input.

Is this Avital 4103 blue wire the one I connect to the blue Fortin (-) "while running" input?

This installation has been a bear (3 days @4-6 hrs each day) mostly because of the scarcity of information online on the location of most wires, and then poor (sometimes contradictory) direction from most wiring directions. Challenging...And I am a $%&# Electrical Engineer!

In contrast, the remote start on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee was a snap as it was plug and play, at about 1 1/2 hr!

This forum has been invaluable.

Any help will be appreciated!
I am almost done.

There is a plug on the 4103 that has a Grey ,Brown , PURPLE / White, BLACK/ White and Blue/White wires , use the Blue/White wire to connect to the Blue wire on the Fortin .

Thanks for your help Triniforever. I tried your suggested connection, but it did not work with the Fortin disabler.

Turns out the H1(4) WHITE/ blue wire was a single pulse signal input (not steady state ground) for activation on the remote start sequence. It could have been programmed to 2 or 3 pulses activation of the remote.

The Fortin worked with the Satellite steady ground provided from the blue wire.

I obviated the D2D connection because the wiring for the Fortin did not match the the Avital 4103 plug and vice-versa. I used the alternate wiring.

For those that need a step by step manual for the Avital 4103 here it is..

The initial startup was a failure. the Fortin did not behave as stated in the programming section and the car did not start. I started it with key and drove for 5 minutes. when the test drive was over, the remote start did work when activated.

Anyone with a GEN4 Toyota 4runner that needs help, drop me a message. this has been the most complicated vehicle ever to install electronic equipment and i will be happy to help.
