I'm hoping some of you experts will help out an amateur. I'm installing an Avital 4113 in our '06 Jeep Liberty. Though I'm a DIYer, I do most of my own auto repair, and I'm a CBET, so I have a good understanding of electronics.

I need advice on the parking light hookup. The wiring guide that the seller sent to me says that the parking lights need a (-) polarity signal through a 910-ohm resistor, and it says "MUST use relay". I'm a little confused, because the vehicle already has a relay for the parking lights in the factory circuit. Can someone tell me exactly how to wire this? Thanks!

Liberty Parking Lights

You can also find the parking light relay and tie into the Ground side of the control without using a resistor.
