I recently removed my old prestige system (aps997c) and put in a newer Aps997E.

After installation everything seems to be working (remote start, trunk release), but the power lock and unlock do nothing when armed/disarmed. They do work from the cars factory lock switch. With my old alarm they worked fine and I tapped into the same spots as before. Any ideas what to check. The system does arm but the door locks don't lock or unlock.
My only idea is maybe the newer prestige lock polarity is different than my previous model which was a aps997c. Can anyone confirm the two units polarity might be different? Or other ideas what the issue may be?

This is on a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro.

The C has what is commonly known as flip flop door lock outputs. The E model has negative outputs. After looking at a diagram for the 97 Camaro, I'll bet there are relays added for the door lock control circuit that were trigger by the + output from the 9776c. There are a few ways to fix this. Either add two relays to switch the polarity of the outputs or alter the wiring of the existing relays to accept a - pulse. For example, pin 85 of each relay will now go to 12v and 86 will get the - lock and -unlock signal.
