I just bought a 99 convertible and want to have an alarm system put in.I think the factory one is ok but it dosen't have any motion sensors if the car is towed.What is a good one to install.I have heard that putting an alarm in it will screw up the elecronic of the car is this true.

Also is there anyway to upgrade the factory one for a perimeter sensor and a motion sensor.If yes whwich is the best to use.

any help guys? I'm going to the alarm shop tommorrow and need some advice on what to do.Put in a aftermarket with the factory one or just add the motion and perimeter sensors to the factory one.
