i just recently installed a remote start in my 2007 mustang gt Redfire. Thinking that the other article on this sight was complete. I purchased all the same equipment. Boy was I wrong the article was incomplete so I did a lot of studying to complete my install. Everything is working correctly except when I arm the vehicle with the viper remote and the use the trunk button the trunk opens and I lift it the viper alarm triggers. And also when I open the trunk with the key it triggers the viper alarm as well. I was able to obtain the direct wire diagram with pictures and it states" pulse simultaneously the trunk disarm wire/shunt and the trunk release with 2 diodes". The car is wired as follows.
Car/ 5706v viper
Trunk pin WHITE/ Yellow...........Blue
Trunk release WHITE/ Purple........RED / White
Trunk alarm shunt WHITE/ Pink......... IDK!

Try this:- standard automotive relay, terminal 87 not used.trunk_trigger_by-pass.png

Thanks for the reply howie. Let me get this straight.

87a trunk trigger wire from viper
85 trunk release from viper

Also can you explain what the the bypass does besides bypass lol. I mean the electrical flow and reaction if that makes sense. I'll get to it this weekend. And again thanks for the response your time won't be wasted.

It's a changeover relay 87a and 30 are connected when viper RED / white grounds the coil at 85 it opens that connect so the alarm via the blue trunk trigger doesn't see the open trunk. The diodes are MANDATORY.

By the way this is all a waste of time, just do what the rest of the world does and turn off alarm first.
