Hi guys,

Great site with lots of good information. This is my first attempt to install an alarm. I want to put a Alpine 8027A into my 2002 4 door Toyota Tacoma with daytime running lights. I have the wiring diagrams for both the alarm and the truck. I have good mechanical ability, but I'm not too sure about this process. I want to make sure I'm hooking things up right. Could someone with wiring diagrams for both, give me a wire to wire run down of the connections that need to be made? Mainly the door lock/unlock, door switch (from the notes below 3 connections will be made and each should be diode isolated, right?), light flash power and light flash output, 12V (to battery or ignition harness?), ignition (alarm-red to truck BLACK/ red, right?), and starter cut/timed armed output (orange wire from alarm goes into a relay with a red and RED / yellow wire coming out goes to what?). This may be a tall order, but I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Vehicles with DRL it is RED / green.  *3 The driver door trigger is green, the front passenger door trigger is GREEN / WHITE, and the rear door trigger is YELLOW /GREEN. Use all three wires and diode isolate each.  *4 On the 4 cyl it is at the data link connector to the right of the steering column. On the V6 it is at the igniter on the passenger fender, below the air filter box.

Look at this post and do the same for your truck for the door locks
