I'm getting ready to attempt my third remote start install. I have used the FLCAN on my previous two installs (hardwire mode) and it worked perfectly. For the 2012 Honda Accord I have two options for flashing the FLCAN: HA or HA3. I am using a Prestige unit that my friend picked up off of an online retailer. My question is: why use HA3 over HA or vice versa? In the past two installs I only had one option to flash the FLCAN with. Any help would be much appreciated.

HA only does immobilizer bypass.

HA3 does doorlocks,factory alarm,trunk release,tach,etc....

The big difference is that the HA is really (TB)-HA and only does the transponder bypass. The HA3 is (DL)-HA3 and not
only does the transponder bypass but handles the factory alarm, door locks and supplies signals like Brake, Tach, Hood,
door & trunk status. All of these extra features cut down on install time, especially having to go into the door for the alarm
and lock control. The TB can be used with the less expensive ADS TB ( FLTB1 ) module while the DL-HA3 must be used
with the slightly more expensive ADS AL-CA ( FLCAN ) module.

The only thing to point out is that the HA3's Trunk release only works while the engine is off, just like the factory remotes.
If you want the ability to pop the trunk while remote started, you will have to hard wire that from the R/S system directly to
the car.
