Hey,
we just bought a 2000 impreza and under the hood there is a sticker saying that the car is equipped with a keyless entry or alarm system, although we got no remotes with the car. my question is, where would the keyless entry module be if the car does have it? i want to verify that the car does actually have it before i buy some remotes. thanks in advance

does the key have an unlock/lock button(s) on it ?
If so, thats your keyless entry. It'll have a factory immobiliser too.
We fit Mongoose MAP1100 upgrades to them here (in New Zealand)- alarm system that uses the factory lock and unlock pulses via the key to arm / disarm. Saves having a second remote.

im sorry, i misread your post. the key does not have lock/unlock buttons on it, its just a plain key. if the remote is not seperate from the key, then the car doesnt have keyless entry. thanks

Ok I have found the brain for the alarm, so the car DOES have keyless entry. The system was manufactured by Code Alarm for Subaru. Will any 2 button code alarm remote work on this system? also does anyone know where i can get a remote pretty cheap? thanks

Phone your local Subaru dealer, or your local Code Alarm dealer. You will need to get the correct remote for it.
Best of luck.
