Hi everyone,

I've been encountering an intermittent issue on a 2012 Honda Civic Sedan Ex. Automatic. I've installed a Clifford 4105x remote starter paired with an idatalink ADS-TB bypass.

The car started and programmed fine initially but the next day it began to start, run for a few seconds, then stop. Sometimes it would successfully start and stay running on the first or second try and sometimes it would fail all three times. I've attempted all three engine checking modes included virtual tach, voltage sense, and wired tach with no success. I wire the PURPLE / white tach wired to the fuel injector wire. The bypass and tach programmed initially and started fine but again the next day, the starter was continuously grinding so I switched back to virtual tach. I'm hoping anyone can chime in with some advice. Thanks a lot.

Which wire did you use in the engine for your tach ? The coil wire or the injector wire ?

Thanks for your reply. I used the injector wire.

brown, red, blue, yellow are the wire colors you should have used. Which one did you use?

I'm actually not sure which color anymore. The injectors had three wires each, I chose the one that wasn't common to all four. I'll have to look at the car and report back.

Injectors won't have 3 wires. You used a coil pack witch is not reliable in my experience. Find a fuel injector (only 2 wires) and re-program.
