Hey everyone. I'm looking to install a Compustar Pro T11 alarm in my car. I am also planning to install an aftermarket RFID Push Button Start Kit to remove my factory key that is on the column. My main concern is I don't trust a lot of the aftermarket RFID push start kits, but I have read the Compustar Pro T11 has built in RFID features. Does anyone know a way to use the Compustar alarm and come up with a reliable and easy way to get an aftermarket push button start setup into the car? I know most typical aftermarket push button starters are nothing more than a relay and an aux switch. If there is a way to use some of the input / outputs with the Compustar PRO T11 to achieve this?

I know most will ask make and model of car, the car is a 2005 Subaru WRX. However, the car is currently running an aftermarket ecu which no longer features the factory OEM immobilizer either in case anybody is curious.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

I haven't used that system, but I know that they make an proximity keyless option but I don't thing they offer anything in the way for ignition.

So I’m going to preface this response by stating that I do not fully understand the install that you are trying to achieve. However, I am quite familiar with compustar systems.

Background
Compustar systems are modular. They usually consist of (at minimum) three components: the controller (”brain”), a transponder bypass and/or interface module (for almost every car since the late 90’s), and an RF kit (the remotes and antenna).

The T11 is compustar’s newest and best remote kit. However, with a few minor exceptions, the install itself will have little to do with the specific RF kit you choose. The main components of the install are the controller and bypass. Where you want to install a remote start/alarm combo, your controller will likely be the cm7000. Since you no longer have the OEM immobilizer, a bypass may not be necessary. What all of this means is that, install wise, it’s a compustar 7-series system (the controller) not a T11 system (the remote).

RFID
I’m unfamiliar with rfid push button starts. The cm7000 supports compustar’s ezgo rfid keyless entry kit but that has nothing to do with the ignition/remote start. However, the controller (and most of their controllers actually) have inputs which allow it to be used as a slave remote starter. When the controller sees a negative pulse on this input, it triggers the remote start sequence (there’s also a positive pulse wire which does the same thing). Probably not what you’re looking for, but it’s the closest I can come with my knowledge.

Thanks for reply. Long story short, there are aftermarket push start kits on the market that use RFID similar to most newer cars that do not use igntion keys anymore. I would like to install a system like this into my car, but I find most of the kits on the market are made in china and seem to be poor quality. What I am trying to attempt is to somehow use the compustar remote or even the EZ-GO system to enable RFID, to build my own push button start utilizing the compustar cm7000 brain so I can have a functional push button start on my dash that will only work when the RFID remote/Key chain is present in the vehicle, this way the push start does not work otherwise. Im not sure if this is ay all possible but Id like to avoid using any cheap off shore systems or having to use multiple systems to make this all work. Thanks.
