Just installed a clifford 4704x 2 way remote start and the customer stated the car started and died 3 times in the morning. They drove it to work and parked then the car successfully remote started and worked fine. I energized both starter wires and both ignition wires. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? I used an old bypass an 1100x but i dont think thats whats causing the issue since once warm it runs perfectly

Did you use the keysense wire to disarm? Also are you testing all of your wires? Also wha type of connections are you making?

i used status output to disarm via the keysense wire. I test and solder all of my connections. I also used the tach wire since i thought virtual tach was the was the issue at first. I think im gonna turn off engine checking and let the customer try it and see if it stasrts in the cold. Any idea off the top of your head what would cause this ? to me, It sounds like it would be something with the second starter not being energized for the cold weather.

How did you do the second starter?

i actually used the flex[pink/white] for the second starter and used a relay for the second ignition 85/87 to 12v fused | 30 to the second ignition wire | 86 to the pink 200ma ignition output wire on the harness with all the smaller gauge wires. Would the car remote start when warm if tach wasnt learned correctly? First i turned engine checking off and the car started and stayed running fine. Then I relearned tach got a solid blue light on the antenna control center, parking lights flashed and i switched back to tach control mode in the menu options and everything seemed to be fine

It sounds like tach wasn't correctly learned initially.

I must not of held the command center button long enough the first time i attempted to learn tach because i dont recall the parking lights flashing to confirm a properly learned signal. Will repost in the morning after a cold remote start to see what happens. Got my fingers crossed.
